About the Role
The Secondary German World Languages Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth in secondary students. As a member of the faculty, you will support the implementation of the IB Middle Years and/or Diploma Programme(s), executing all program requirements in support of authorization and evaluation.
You will teach German to mixed-ability classes drawn from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, including students for whom English may not be their first language. The role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, differentiating instruction to meet diverse needs, and incorporating cultural elements to foster cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. Beyond the classroom, you will actively participate in the wider life of the school, assisting with school-wide initiatives, events, and service-learning activities.

Nice to Have
Master's degree in education or related field. Experience in international and/or independent schools. Experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program or MYP. Certification in education and/or related subject area. At least three years of teaching experience in a secondary setting. Bilingual or highly proficient in English. Demonstrated digital proficiency in current tools and platforms, including electronic gradebooks, Learning Management Systems, online learning platforms, digital portfolios, and AI-assisted technology.
