The Secondary ELA Instructional Coach serves as a catalyst for instructional excellence across secondary campuses during the 2026-2027 school year. This position is designed to bridge the gap between district curriculum standards and classroom practice, ensuring every student has access to high-quality English Language Arts and Reading instruction.
In this role, you will move beyond traditional support to become a partner in teacher growth. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of job-embedded coaching, modeling effective instruction in classrooms, and facilitating data-driven conversations with PLCs. You will guide teachers in internalizing lessons, refining questioning strategies, and implementing targeted interventions that directly impact student achievement on STAAR and EOC assessments.
We are committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations. By aligning instruction with secondary ELAR TEKS and leveraging high-quality instructional materials, we aim to close achievement gaps and ensure all students develop the reading and writing skills necessary for college and career readiness. This role is pivotal in supporting our district's strategic priorities for literacy and student growth.
Candidates selected for an interview will engage in a multi-stage process designed to assess both instructional expertise and cultural fit:
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our school district. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status in employment or the provision of services.
