Sheridan High School and the S.O.A.R. Academy in Denver, CO, are dedicated to serving diverse student populations, with a specific focus on second language learners and at-risk youth. We are seeking a passionate Secondary Art Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to join our team. This unique position is split between two campuses: 30% at S.O.A.R. Academy and 70% at Sheridan High School. The role is designed for an educator who brings experience and empathy to working with students who face significant challenges.
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for developing curriculum that meets the specific needs of our school while adhering to district-approved standards. Your day will involve planning instruction that utilizes appropriate teaching methods to enhance student achievement, modifying lessons to meet individual learner needs, and maintaining a learning environment where clear expectations and consequences support student growth. You will also play a key role in communicating student progress to families and collaborating with colleagues to fulfill building and district goals.
