This opportunity resides with Global Security (GS) within HII's Mission Technologies division. Our group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental programs; and Australia business. As a trusted partner to our military customers, HII designs, develops, and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross-domain battle. With advanced technologies to enable mission readiness, we understand that preparation requires full coordination—not readiness in piece-parts.
For more than 40 years, the U.S. Navy has entrusted HII to maintain and modernize the vast majority of its fleet. With a holistic approach to life-cycle maritime defense systems—from small watercraft to submarines, surface combatants, and aircraft carriers—HII ensures a high state of readiness. Additionally, we support the Department of Energy's national security mission through the management and operation of its sites, as well as the safe cleanup of legacy waste across the country.
Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners. Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense—the data evolution—by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers.
Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! We are seeking a Production Planner Scheduler Manager 1 for the Surface Enhance Capability Program (SECAP). You will supervise SECAP technicians conducting troubleshooting and repairs on HM&E systems, specifically valve and pump maintenance for installed systems including Main Drainage, Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), Counter Measure Washdown (CMWD), and Fire-main systems. You will also oversee the maintenance of auxiliary equipment, including HP and LP Air systems, trash room equipment, hydraulic equipment, AC&R equipment, and deck equipment.
This is a full-time, salaried position located in San Diego, CA. You will play a critical role in planning, preparing, and controlling production schedules to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. You will advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
