About the Opportunity
The Downers Grove Park District manages 48 parks, two high-profile Natural Areas, and numerous smaller naturalized spaces. Currently, the District maintains beds in 20 parks, comprising nearly 3 acres of high-visibility, high-impact landscapes. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Seasonal Horticulture team to help maintain and improve these resources.
This role is designed for someone eager to apply their educational curriculum and experience to real-world field work. Reporting to and being mentored by the Superintendent of Parks, you will gain valuable skills in the care of woody and herbaceous plants, directly supporting the viability and sustainability of ornamental landscape plantings in a suburban setting.
