The City and County of Denver is seeking Parks Utility Worker II's to support Park Operations in the Northeast and Downtown districts. This full-time role performs a wide variety of general park maintenance duties while also leading less experienced workers. You will have the opportunity to make an impact and grow professionally through unique experiences, including special projects, volunteer project coordination, and managing small to large public events.
In this position, you will work outdoors maintaining pristine complexes and high-visibility parks. Your day will involve using and maintaining various hand-powered tools and motorized equipment, performing landscape maintenance (such as turf care, irrigation, and gardening), and handling infrastructure repairs like fencing and trails. You will also exercise leadership skills by training and supporting the development of new workers, collaborating with specialists in green industry fields, and performing snow removal operations when necessary.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with some weekends required to accommodate special events, projects, or snow removal.
