Landscape Foreperson

About the Role

As the Landscape Section Leader at California's Great America, you will provide overall direction and leadership for our landscape operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the park's visual appeal and operational excellence through the installation and maintenance of vibrant, colorful annual plantings and native flora. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive landscape maintenance plans that define the strategies needed to meet the park's seasonal objectives.

Your day will involve leading a team of landscape maintenance associates, fostering a culture of creativity and professional growth. You will manage the full lifecycle of staff development, from selection and training to scheduling, evaluation, and performance management. Beyond team leadership, you will serve as a key liaison between the landscape department and other park divisions, coordinating solutions for maintenance concerns and ensuring seamless guest experiences.

The role also requires a strategic approach to operations, including preparing cost analyses, forecasting project completion dates, and assisting with the preparation of the annual operation plan and budget. You will monitor operations to ensure they remain within budgetary guidelines while maintaining high standards of quality assurance and safety compliance.
