As a School Psychologist, you will serve as a vital member of a multidisciplinary evaluation team. Your day will involve completing comprehensive evaluations of children, including social histories, record reviews, and observations in preschool and natural environments. You will collaborate closely with families, teachers, and other professionals to support the completion of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
This role requires active participation in CPSE meetings to review results, discuss eligibility, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will provide ongoing consultation and training to classroom staff on behavior management strategies and social/emotional needs, while also facilitating a strong working relationship with families through education and support. Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries is central to your daily practice.
