Founded in 1998, Aspire Public Schools operates a network of high-performing, college preparatory charter schools serving TK-12 scholars across California. Our mission is to transform the inequitable racial, social, and gender outcomes that our communities persist through by preparing scholars for success in college, career, and life. We provide students with the knowledge, skills, and power to access and make choices for their families and post-secondary lives.
Our community is grounded in values of Bienestar (Well-Being), Culture of Belonging, Community Partnership, Agency & Self-Determination, and Joy. Every day, students, families, teachers, and staff come together to learn, work, and play in an environment that fosters equity and high expectations for all.
We are seeking a School Psychologist to join our co-located elementary campuses in South Los Angeles for the SY26/27 school year. This role is vital to our mission of supporting diverse learners and ensuring every scholar has access to the resources they need to thrive.
As a member of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team, you will provide a full range of psychological services to children from TK through age 22. Your day will involve screening and assessing students, conducting individual and group counseling, and collaborating with outside agencies to support student well-being. You will play a key role in determining student eligibility for special services, developing appropriate programming, and monitoring ongoing progress.
Beyond direct student support, you will collaborate with school staff on MTSS implementation, Student Study Team meetings, and crisis support. You will also supervise psychology interns, conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and provide consultation to IEP team members on behavior intervention plans. This position requires flexibility to work at assigned school sites based on regional needs and to adapt to the dynamic, fast-paced nature of our educational environment.
Interested candidates are invited to review our salary schedule via the provided link. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Selected candidates will move through our interview process, which includes a review of credentials, followed by interviews with the hiring team to assess alignment with our mission and values.
