Empower students to thrive as a School-Based Therapist with Compass Health Network. In this role, you will provide mental health services directly within the Dent County School District, serving students in grades K-8. You will partner with school staff to make mental health more accessible, helping children and adolescents overcome challenges and build brighter futures through early intervention.
This position is designed for clinicians who value clinical excellence and compassionate care without the logistical stress of private practice. You will enjoy the stability of a full-time clinical role with no billing, marketing, or overhead responsibilities. Your schedule will mirror the school calendar, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring your evenings and weekends remain free.
You will serve as a trusted advocate and change agent within the local school community. Your work involves providing individual, family, and group therapy, conducting initial evaluations and diagnostic assessments, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with students and families. You will coordinate care with school staff, families, and other Compass providers to ensure holistic treatment, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation within 24 hours of service delivery.
As a key resource for school personnel, you will participate in school meetings to advocate for student needs and support crisis intervention and safety planning, with 24/7 access to Compass's crisis resources. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure wraparound care for every student, thriving in an environment that values close collaboration with teachers, counselors, and administrators.
Therapists love working at Compass because we offer a supportive, integrated team model with built-in clinical consultation and collaboration. We provide robust onboarding, quarterly clinical training, and licensure supervision to support your professional development. As a full-time employee, you are eligible for HRSA loan repayment upon full licensure (at select locations) and enjoy generous paid annual leave and paid holidays.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter highlighting your passion for supporting the mental health of children, teens, and families. Our team will review your application and reach out to schedule an initial conversation to discuss your experience and how you fit our mission.
