Seattle Children's is a Magnet-designated institution and the largest pediatric and adolescent academic medical center in the country, serving Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. Our founding promise remains valid today: we care for all children in our region, regardless of a family's ability to pay. Consistently ranked among the nation's best children's hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, we are dedicated to delivering superior patient care, advancing discoveries through research, and eradicating childhood diseases.
Our organizational DNA is built on core values of Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, Collaboration, Equity, and Innovation. These values are the fabric of our culture, guiding us from frontline care to our relentless curiosity in medical research. We are a community that seeks to respect and celebrate the unique qualities of every individual, empowering our team to be themselves while providing best-in-class care.
This Scheduling Coordinator supports the Fetal Center at Seattle Children's, serving as the first point of contact for patients and families seeking care in our Ambulatory Specialty Clinics. The role is vital to modeling our core values by providing excellent, quality customer experiences for our patients, families, and clinic partners.
You will be responsible for scheduling complex appointments with pregnant patients, often coordinating across specialties. While assigned to a specific scheduling team with a primary location at either the Contact Center or the Hospital, you will rotate responsibilities between both locations. This position requires you to provide valuable information and reassurance to families, demonstrating empathy, high attention to detail, and effective prioritization in a multi-tasking environment. You will work collaboratively with team members to ensure the delivery of safe patient care, communicating frequently with partners both internal and external to the organization.
Seattle Children's welcomes people of all experiences, backgrounds, and thoughts, as this diversity drives our spirit of inquiry and helps us better connect with the families we serve. We recruit, employ, train, compensate, and promote based on merit without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability status, or other legally protected characteristics. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Workplace and Affirmative Action Employer.
