Scheduling Coordinator

About the Role

The Scheduling Coordinator serves as the vital link between our dental providers and our patients. In this role, you will engineer, monitor, and manage the daily schedules for multiple providers while guiding patients through their treatment needs, options, and payment plans. Beyond scheduling, you will perform essential front-office duties to ensure the dental office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Day in the Life

Your day begins by greeting patients as they arrive, verifying their identification, and ensuring their personal and insurance information is accurate within our systems. You will announce arrivals to the clinical team and monitor the clock to ensure patients are seated on time. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to preparing, maintaining, and monitoring schedules, ensuring that canceled or rescheduled appointments are filled promptly to keep the schedule full.

You will act as a trusted advisor to patients, reviewing treatment plans and discussing payment options and policies with professionalism. You will also handle incoming calls, ranging from new patient inquiries and emergencies to record requests and follow-ups. Additionally, you will manage the administrative side of patient care by scanning forms into our dental software, maintaining the document center, and following up on unpaid insurance claims that are more than 14 days old.
