About the Role
As the Scale and Traffic Administration Clerk, you will be the operational heartbeat of the Scale House at Avondale. This role exists to ensure the seamless flow of traffic and accurate data management as the terminal evolves. You will administer weigh bridges, record truck movements, and serve as the primary point of contact for truck drivers and internal stakeholders.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of field and office duties. You will greet customers, direct traffic, and manage the weighing process for incoming and outgoing trucks. Beyond the scale, you will handle critical paperwork administration, including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, with a specific focus on rail movements. You will track weight information in Oracle-based systems, verify shipment accuracy against manifests and invoices, and assist the yard crew with load tallies. This position requires a proactive "go-getter" who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety compliance and maintaining the integrity of our records.
