About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SCADA & Alarm Management Engineer to support and maintain industrial automation, SCADA, historian, and alarm management systems across oil & gas operations. This role is critical for ensuring reliable real-time monitoring, operational visibility, and alarm system effectiveness while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience supporting SCADA infrastructure, PLC/DCS integration, and the OSIsoft PI System within upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, pipeline, terminal, or refinery environments. You will play a key part in optimizing operator response, reducing alarm fatigue, and collaborating with operations, process engineering, and maintenance teams to enhance overall system reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage and maintain SCADA servers, HMIs, and real-time monitoring infrastructure
- check_circleConfigure and support integration between PLCs, DCS, RTUs, and field instrumentation systems
- check_circleSupport historian systems including OSIsoft PI System and real-time operational data collection
- check_circleMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SCADA communication networks and industrial data flow
- check_circleDevelop and maintain SCADA graphics, dashboards, trends, and operational visualization tools
- check_circlePerform system upgrades, patch management, backup, and disaster recovery activities
- check_circleSupport OT cybersecurity initiatives and maintain secure industrial network practices
- check_circleConfigure alarm priorities, limits, suppression, shelving, and alarm response strategies
- check_circleGenerate alarm KPIs, performance reports, and operational analytics dashboards
- check_circleConduct alarm audits and support lifecycle management in accordance with ISA-18.2 and EEMUA 191
- check_circleImprove operator response effectiveness and reduce alarm fatigue through optimization initiatives
- check_circleCollaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve system reliability
Requirements
- verified5+ years of experience supporting SCADA and alarm management systems in oil & gas or process industries
- verifiedExperience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, AVEVA/Wonderware, WinCC, FactoryTalk, or iFIX
- verifiedHands-on experience with OSIsoft PI System administration and support
- verifiedKnowledge of PLC/DCS systems including Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion, ABB, Siemens, or Rockwell Automation
- verifiedStrong understanding of ISA-18.2 and EEMUA 191 alarm management standards
- verifiedExperience with industrial communication protocols including OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, and DNP3
