About the Role
This position is essential to maintaining the high standards of product processing at Pilgrim's Company. You will operate tools and equipment in accordance with USDA regulations and company procedures, ensuring that every product meets our strict quality and quantity expectations. The role requires a hands-on approach, combining manual labor with technical operation to keep production lines running smoothly and safely.
Day in the Life
Your workday involves processing product while adhering to rigorous safety and food safety policies. You will be responsible for monitoring equipment operation and promptly notifying leadership of any malfunctions or safety concerns. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is a daily priority.
The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to stand for 8–11 hours, often in cool temperatures around 40 degrees. You will work closely with a team, frequently within three feet of other employees, necessitating strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively. Beyond individual tasks, you are expected to assist colleagues, share your knowledge, and actively participate in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives using continuous improvement methodologies.
