The Sales Trainee (ST) position is a structured training program designed to prepare candidates for future Account Sales Manager (ASM) opportunities. This role serves as a foundational step for individuals eager to understand the Red Bull brand, its products, and the distribution landscape.
The program focuses on building business acumen, teaching trainees to protect the brand through proper product rotation and flow, and establishing professional relationships with customers to drive sales. Trainees will work closely with ASMs and DSMs, gaining hands-on experience in daily preparation, in-route support, and off-route initiatives such as audits, merchandising, and display building.
Upon successful completion of the training program and certification, Sales Trainees become eligible to interview for open ASM roles. The role is designed as a temporary assignment with a standard duration of up to 12 months. If no ASM or other qualified role is available upon completion, and the trainee continues to meet performance standards, the position may be extended by an additional 6 months at the manager's discretion.
Once a qualified role becomes available, certified trainees are required to interview for that position. If a promotion does not occur prior to the expiration of the completion period (including any extensions), the Sales Trainee role will be vacated due to the end of the assignment, unless a specific exception applies.
This is an at-will position, meaning the employment relationship can be terminated by either the Company or the Sales Trainee at any time, for any reason or no reason at all, with or without cause.
