Yamato Corporation, part of Yamato Americas, is seeking a driven Sales Territory Manager to grow our Manufacturing customer base and strengthen long-term partnerships within an assigned territory. In this role, you will lead all territory sales activities for Yamato's transport and logistics solutions, focusing on manufacturers that rely on efficient, reliable supply chains.
You will identify and qualify new manufacturing prospects, develop relationships with key decision makers, and position Yamato's services as strategic solutions that optimize logistics performance and cost. Working closely with Sales & Business Development leadership, you will build and execute a territory sales plan, manage a robust pipeline, and consistently meet or exceed revenue and margin targets.
On a daily basis, you will research target accounts, conduct outbound outreach, and respond to inbound inquiries from manufacturers seeking logistics support. You will lead discovery conversations to understand customer operations, pain points, and supply chain requirements, then collaborate with internal logistics, operations, and pricing teams to design tailored solutions and proposals. You will deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations, prepare and negotiate contracts, and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and onboarding.
Post-sale, you will maintain regular contact with customers, monitor service performance, and identify opportunities to expand Yamato's footprint through cross-selling and upselling additional services. You will be responsible for accurate forecasting, territory reporting, and CRM hygiene, ensuring all activities, opportunities, and customer information are up to date. By analyzing territory performance data and market trends, you will refine your go-to-market strategy, adjust account prioritization, and develop targeted campaigns to increase penetration in key manufacturing segments.
You will represent Yamato at industry events, trade shows, and customer site visits, communicating market feedback and competitive intelligence back to internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement of our offerings. This position thrives in Yamato Americas' culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver a seamless customer experience and ensure that logistics solutions are executed to the highest standard. You will contribute to territory-level and regional growth initiatives, share best practices with peers, and mentor junior sales staff as needed.
