About Year Up United

Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to empower young adults with the skills and support needed to launch successful careers. The program combines in-classroom skill development with access to internships and personalized coaching and mentorship.

Participants receive technical and professional training alongside job placement support through YUPRO Placement, our industry-leading talent placement firm. Internship opportunities may be secured at leading organizations in the Wilmington area, including Bank of America, Exelon Corporation, and JP Morgan Chase.

What You Will Gain

This program is built to provide the skills and opportunities necessary to launch a professional career. Students develop professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking abilities, and resume-building expertise, all supported by ongoing guidance.

In-depth classes cover key areas such as Customer Success, Data Analytics, and Investment Operations. During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.

Year Up United is proven to deliver results: 72% of graduates are employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation. Employed graduates earn an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.

Eligibility

To apply, candidates must be high school graduates or GED recipients, eligible to work in the U.S., and available Monday through Friday for the duration of the program. Applicants should be highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills and must not have obtained a Bachelor's degree. Additional screening questions may be required during the application process.
