About the Role
We currently have an opening for a Family Service Advisor at Valley Memorial Park in Hillsboro, OR. This position serves as a vital link between our families and the services they need, selling cemetery services, property, merchandise, and pre-need funeral services in accordance with established sales goals. The role encompasses both at-need and pre-need sales, requiring a compassionate approach to guiding families through difficult times while building lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSet appointments and make presentations in prospective client homes to sell prearrangements
- check_circleAttend visitations, funerals, and interment services to support client families
- check_circleMaintain accurate records of personal sales activity and performance results
- check_circleSell pre-arranged funeral contracts, cemetery property, and merchandise to meet sales objectives
- check_circleDevelop personal sales leads through contacts, telephone solicitation, and group marketing activities
- check_circleConduct advance sales for prearrangements including cash and installment funding mechanisms
- check_circleRefer sales management on any deviations from prescribed policies regarding prices or contract terms
- check_circleComplete sales contracts and documentation in compliance with company policies
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedStrong preference for some formal training in business or business-related areas
- verifiedExperience in commissioned sales is strongly preferred
- verifiedInsurance license or the ability to obtain an insurance license
- verifiedValid state-issued driver's license with a clear driving record
