About the Role
As a Store Team Member at Yesway, you are the face of our hospitality, ensuring every guest leaves with a positive experience. Your day is dedicated to maintaining the store's standards, from processing timely transactions and resolving customer concerns to keeping the facility clean and merchandise perfectly stocked. You will play a key role in food preparation and store maintenance, working collaboratively with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager to keep operations running smoothly.
This role requires physical stamina, as you will be standing for standard 8-hour shifts and handling merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs. Whether you are stocking shelves, bagging ice, or preparing cooked foods, your efforts directly contribute to the store's success and the satisfaction of our "store quests."
Hiring Process & Requirements
Successful candidates must complete required certification testing upon employment. Please note that all offers of employment are subject to specific background checks and licensing requirements based on your location:
- Kansas: Offers are contingent on a criminal background check. No offer will be extended to those adjudged guilty of a felony, crimes involving morals, or furnishing alcohol to a minor two or more times in the preceding five years.
- New Mexico: Offers are conditional on a criminal background check and the issuance of an alcohol server's certificate within 30 days of employment.
- Oklahoma: Offers are subject to a criminal background check, completion of an ABLE Commission approved training program, and issuance of an employee's license within 14 days of initial employment.
