About the Role

The Safety Manager serves as a vital safety resource at the project, business unit, and corporate levels. This role is dedicated to driving safety performance and developing a robust safety culture across HITT's operations. You will regularly assess the safety needs of assigned business units or projects, utilizing resources to meet those needs while actively participating in the development of HITT's corporate safety program.

In this position, you will act as a technical resource to the safety department and site operations, evaluating inspection performance and mentoring operations teams on safety inspection processes. Your day-to-day involves analyzing hazard and incident data to identify trends, setting safety inspection criteria, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, corporate, and client regulations. You will lead crisis or accident/incident responses, conduct independent on-site safety inspections using the Predictive Solutions System, and develop project safety orientations that address special client or condition requirements.

Beyond technical execution, you will manage direct reports, fostering their career development and performance. You will also collaborate with the corporate Risk Management Team, respond to safety concerns from clients and the public, and maintain positive working relationships with project teams and subcontractors. As a leader, you will set an example for safe work practices on and off work sites, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
