About the Role
This hands-on position serves as a critical partner to the Business Unit Safety Manager, focusing on directing safety and environmental hazard activities across the region. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations. The role is designed to foster a culture of safety by facilitating employee training on various safety and environmental topics and assisting in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve conducting routine safety inspections as directed, reporting findings to the Business Unit Safety Manager, and following up to ensure the closure of any items identified as unsafe, defective, or non-compliant. You will also assist in acquiring necessary resources for corrective actions when needed. Given the regional scope of the position, heavy travel is required to cover the area effectively.
