About the Role
We are seeking a Roughneck to join our field operations team, supporting rig sites in Ohio, West Virginia, or Louisiana. In this role, you will perform various manual labor tasks essential to the safe and efficient operation of a rig site under the direct supervision of the Driller. Your day-to-day activities will involve rigging up and down, handling equipment, conducting maintenance, and assisting with mud-mixing duties. This position requires frequent interaction with drilling personnel to exchange information and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
The work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, exposing you to atmospheric elements such as extreme heat or cold, fumes, gases, noise, and vibration. You must be capable of responding immediately to emergency situations and handling equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. This role demands flexibility, including the ability to work long, irregular hours, weekends, and holidays, and may require being on call 24 hours a day when needed.
