This position operates laboratory equipment and supports day-to-day laboratory processes to ensure reliable radiological gas analysis operations. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of specialized instrumentation, including gas chromatographs, vacuum systems, pressure measurement equipment, and radiological gas separation and measurement equipment.
In this role, you will operate laboratory processing equipment, following written procedures to accurately record data from environmental air samples, perform gas separation, and process samples across multiple laboratory sections. You will analyze and report measurement results obtained using specialized radiological counting instruments, perform calibrations, and maintain inventory levels. Effective communication of data findings to management and technical staff is essential, as is maintaining high standards of laboratory housekeeping and safety.
