The General Surgery department at the Sanford Broadway Clinic in Fargo, ND, is a dynamic group comprising subspecialties in general surgery, surgical oncology, breast surgery, and colorectal surgery. We are a fun, growing team that creates long-term relationships while utilizing specialized nursing skills to support our providers and patients.
This position serves as a vital bridge between patients and the healthcare team, focusing on telephone triage and care coordination. You will answer patient inquiries, assessing the severity of symptoms and medical needs according to established triage algorithms. Your role involves guiding patients to the appropriate level of care, scheduling appointments with providers, and documenting all interactions within health record systems. You will also maintain and develop triage protocols, ensure patient information is up to date, and educate patients based on their specific calls. This role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, utilizing various technologies to manage patient communications effectively.
