This position serves as a vital bridge between patients and the General Surgery team, focusing on telephone triage and care coordination. You will answer patient inquiries, assessing the severity of symptoms and medical needs according to established triage algorithms. Your role involves guiding patients to the appropriate level of care, scheduling appointments with the right providers, and educating patients based on their calls. You will document all interactions in health record systems, maintain triage protocols, and ensure patient information is updated timely. This role requires adapting to multiple variations of technology to communicate effectively with patients and the care team.
