The General Surgery department at the Sanford Broadway Clinic in Fargo, ND, is a dynamic group comprised of subspecialties including general surgery, surgical oncology, breast surgery, and colorectal surgery. We are a fun, growing team that creates long-term relationships while utilizing nursing skills in a specialty area.
This position serves as a vital bridge between patients and the General Surgery team. You will answer patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms. Your role involves guiding patients to the appropriate level of care, scheduling appointments with the right providers or facilities, and documenting all interactions in health record systems. You will also play a key part in maintaining and developing triage protocols, ensuring patient information is up to date, and educating patients based on their specific calls. This role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, utilizing various technologies to manage patient communications effectively.
