About the Team

Medical City Dallas is an 895+ bed tertiary care center recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care. Our medical team consists of more than 1,500 physicians, many of whom are world-renowned in their specialties. As part of the Medical City network, we offer sophisticated treatment through 400+ in-house physician specialists, serving patients from across the United States and internationally. Our facility includes a full-service adult hospital, a pediatric hospital, separate emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, and diagnostic centers, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology to pioneer new medical procedures.

HCA Healthcare, our parent organization, has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times. We are deeply committed to our community; last year alone, HCA Healthcare and our colleagues donated $13.8 million to charitable organizations, and we have spent an estimated $3.7 billion on charitable care and uncompensated expenses.

About the Role

As an RN OR Scheduler at Medical City Dallas, you will join a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff. This role is designed to ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room while providing you with self-preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for predictability. You will be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, working alongside providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Your day will involve evaluating patients prior to surgery, assuming responsibility for patient preparation (including IV therapy and preoperative medications), and participating in critical safety protocols such as surgical site verification and time-outs. You will also provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and medical conditions, monitor patient conditions throughout your shift, and respond to emergencies. The role includes rounding with unit leaders to ensure your voice is heard regarding patient care and workflow improvements, with on-call availability required during select non-business hours.

Our Culture

At HCA Healthcare, we care like family and are committed to caring for patients with purpose and integrity. As Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr., our Co-Founder, stated: "The great hospitals will always put the patient and the patient's family first, and the really great institutions will provide care with warmth, compassion, and dignity for the individual." We offer a supportive environment where continuous investment in equipment and resources allows you to do your best work.

Hiring Process

We promptly review all applications. Highly qualified candidates will be contacted for interviews. If you are looking for an opportunity that provides satisfaction and personal growth, we encourage you to apply today to unlock the possibilities.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
