About the Role

This Part-Time RN OR Scheduler position is designed for those passionate about the patient experience. You will join a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff, ensuring your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement through regular rounding with unit leaders.

In this role, you will be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, working alongside providers, surgeons, and surgical technologists. You will evaluate patients prior to surgery, provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and the peri-operative process, and assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and surgical site verification. Your day will involve applying the nursing process and critical thinking to independently deliver safe, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

We offer self-preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance to provide predictability, alongside continuous investment in equipment to support patient safety and workflow efficiency. While the role is part-time, on-call availability during select non-business hours is required.
