Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEvaluate nursing interventions and facilitate problem resolution
- check_circleAdminister medications, start IVs, and discharge patients
- check_circlePromote adoption of nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines
- check_circleManage conflict on assigned shifts and collaborate with unit leadership
- check_circleEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards
- check_circleEnsure effective scheduling, staffing, and availability of clinical supplies
- check_circleIdentify staff strengths and weaknesses and evaluate staff performance
- check_circleOrganize, plan, and supervise coordinated patient care within the unit
- check_circleCoordinate, delegate, and supervise care provided by the healthcare team
- check_circleSupervise, develop, and evaluate assigned departmental staff nurses and technicians
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an accredited school of nursing
- verifiedBachelor's Degree Science of Nursing (BSN) required for Magnet Facilities
- verified1 year of relevant experience as a registered nurse OR 2 years of experience as an LPN in an acute care setting
- verifiedCurrent registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
