About the Role
This position is designed for a competent Nurse who practices independently within a clinical setting, demonstrating a comprehensive awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care situations. The role focuses on providing both routine and complex care while maintaining the ability to align daily actions with long-range goals and plans. A key aspect of this position is the continuous development of skills to effectively cope with and manage clinical contingencies.
In this capacity, you will make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to ensure the clinical situation is managed efficiently. You will be expected to meet the expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies, serving as a Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Your practice will be consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for assigned patients.
You will address the increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families in accordance with your level of practice. This includes administering medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness, and documenting patient history, symptoms, and care provided. Additionally, you will assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources to support their well-being.
