A3 is a specialized 24-bed high-acuity unit dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence-based care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients with complex co-morbidities. Our team manages a diverse patient population, including those recovering from post-cardiac interventions such as heart catheterizations, AAA stent repairs, TAVRs, EP ablations, and pacemaker/ICD placements.
We are experts in managing specialized devices like Impellas and IABPs, as well as Artic Sun and Tablo XT systems. Our scope includes caring for ventilator-dependent patients and those with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, GI bleeds, peripheral vascular disease, and renal disease. The unit handles complex infusions for blood pressure management, cardiac issues, thrombolytics, sedation, and paralytics, alongside comprehensive post-surgical ICU care.
