About the Role
The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) serves as a vital link in the surgical continuum, delivering professional nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role is dedicated to ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes through a collaborative approach with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
From the initial preoperative assessment and preparation to intraoperative support in the operating room and postoperative recovery monitoring, the RN navigates the entire surgical journey. The position requires a high level of clinical expertise to manage sterile fields, advocate for patient safety during critical moments, and provide compassionate education to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery plans.
