About the Role
As a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse, you will deliver optimum quality care to patients throughout their surgical journey, from the pre-operative phase through recovery in the PACU and Phase II. You will serve as a vital link in the perioperative experience, ensuring a smooth flow of care within our Blaine Surgery Center.
In this part-time (0.8 FTE) role, you will work varied daytime hours between 5:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Your day will involve assessing holistic patient needs, reviewing admission screenings, and providing individualized care plans based on nursing assessments. You will collaborate with other disciplines to maximize patient outcomes, offering support, comfort, and education to patients and their families. Additionally, you will play a key role in the developmental process of colleagues and students, often functioning as a preceptor while maintaining the highest standards of aseptic technique and emergency response.

Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing
- verifiedCurrent RN licensure in MN or WI multi-state
- verifiedOne year PACU or critical care nursing experience in last 5 years preferred
- verifiedCurrent BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required or completed upon hire
- verifiedCurrent member American Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses preferred

One year of nursing experience in PACU or other critical care nursing experience in the last 5 years. Current member of the American Society of Post Anesthesia Nurses.
