Since opening our doors in 1942, one thing has never changed: our commitment to serve, heal, lead, educate, and innovate. We believe that every award earned, every record broken, and every patient helped is a testament to the dedicated employees who fill our hallways. At Ochsner, whether you work directly with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference, and that matters.
This position serves as a leader in the provision of patient care, operating within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Code for Nurses, and the Scope & Standards of Practice. As a leader, you will effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes.
You will be expected to exhibit sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions and maintain active involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and departmental strategic goals. The role requires demonstrating professional responsibility for your own practice while supporting the company's philosophy of nursing. You will assess learning needs, implement teaching strategies for diverse patient groups, and manage nursing team resources as a partner on the interdisciplinary team.
