As a Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU, you will be part of a team dedicated to advancing the practice of nursing and improving positive outcomes for patients. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with the scope and standards of practice for your state and specialty.
In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and values to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Your day will involve performing procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers, documenting care in the patient medical record, and translating complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. You will teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle changes to prepare them for future self-management. Additionally, you will manage evidence-based practices and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and evaluate holistic treatment plans that promote recovery.
