At the GSS SD Desmet Center in De Smet, SD, the MDS Nurse serves as a vital leader in the planning, organizing, and evaluation of nursing activities. This role is designed to ensure the highest quality of life for our residents by maintaining current care plans and leading the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, ranging from preventative health maintenance to diagnosis and treatment. You will collaborate closely with residents, families, advocates, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to coordinate care and deliver expert nursing interventions. In this position, you may also serve as a charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel while ensuring safe, reliable administration of care.

Minimum of one-year experience working as a licensed nurse with the senior population. Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT) certification. Management or supervisory experience. Affiliation with an outside professional nursing organization.
