About the Role
The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
The main focus of this Medicare Wellness Nurse position is to complete Medicare Annual Wellness visits with eligible patients. In addition to these specific visits, the role involves helping with general clinic nursing responsibilities as defined or needed. The nurse will act as a preceptor to support the development of other staff and healthcare students, while also providing leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes. The position requires working with the Nursing Supervisor to ensure departmental compliance with DNV standards and assisting in the development of standing orders.
