About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will serve as a professional practitioner who assesses, manages, directs, and provides comprehensive nursing care throughout a patient's hospital stay. This role is pivotal in coordinating planning with other disciplines using a patient-driven approach. You will be responsible for establishing and evaluating plans of care based on detailed assessments, collaborating with the health team to ensure seamless daily operations, and providing specialized care for patients at high risk for injury.
Your day will involve performing age-appropriate assessments, administering medications, and managing complex care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices. You will also play a key role in patient and family education, discharge planning, and pain management, ensuring that cultural and spiritual beliefs are respected. Beyond clinical duties, you will contribute to performance improvement initiatives, maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, and mentor new staff and students.
