About the Role

As an RN on the Medical Renal Unit, you will serve as a vital partner in the care continuum for patients with complex renal needs. This role exists to provide comprehensive, individualized care that addresses both the medical and emotional aspects of kidney disease. You will work closely with nephrologists and an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that prioritize patient safety and recovery.

Your day will involve performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and renal therapies, and closely monitoring labs, fluid balance, and clinical status. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key educational role, guiding patients and families through disease management, treatment plans, and discharge needs. You will also have the opportunity to precept and mentor new nurses and support staff, helping to cultivate a collaborative and inclusive unit culture.
