About Kindred Hospital Las Vegas - Sahara
Kindred Hospital Las Vegas - Sahara is a 52-bed long-term acute care hospital dedicated to providing in-depth care for extended recovery periods. We partner closely with your physician to offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week, supporting your journey to wellness. For patients requiring specialized attention, we also operate an Outpatient Wound Care Clinic. Our facility is conveniently located just a short distance from shops and restaurants, and less than three miles west of I-15.
About the Role
As a Pharmacist at our facility, you will work in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies based on written physician prescriptions. This role is vital to the hospital's mission, requiring you to interpret medication orders in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards while supervising technical support staff.
You will serve as a consultant to the Administration, Medical Staff, and hospital personnel on quality, regulatory, and risk issues. Your day-to-day responsibilities include participating in Performance Improvement plans, assisting with clinical and education programs, and ensuring the safety of drug therapy for our patient population, which ranges from adults to geriatric patients aged 65 and older. You will also manage the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances, maintain accurate records, and prioritize work to handle STAT and routine orders efficiently.

Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree
- verifiedCurrent state license in good standing
- verifiedBCLS certification
- verifiedMinimum of three (3) months of experience in pharmacy
- verifiedWorking knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA and state guidelines
- verifiedMust read, write and speak fluent English
