This position serves as a vital link in the nursing process, responsible for administering the fundamentals of nursing care within an assigned unit or specialty area. The role involves contributing to nursing assessments, developing comprehensive care plans, and participating in the evaluation of patient outcomes. You will share responsibility with other healthcare disciplines to ensure optimal patient care while functioning as a role model and resource for the patient services team.
In this role, you will manage patient records and documentation to maintain accurate medical histories, administer medications and IV therapies in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, and assess patient and family education needs. You will be accountable for problem-solving, initiating and delegating care team functions, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. The position requires providing age-appropriate care across the lifespan, from neonates to geriatric patients, utilizing current scientific knowledge and medical equipment.
This is a full-time position with 36 scheduled weekly hours. The shift runs from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every third weekend required.
