About the Role
This position serves as a vital bridge between clinical care and operational oversight within our long-term care facility. The primary purpose is to provide direct nursing care to residents while simultaneously supervising the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants. The role exists to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times, in strict accordance with current federal, state, and local standards.
As a leader on the unit, you will interpret departmental policies for staff, residents, and visitors, ensuring a calm and positive environment. Your day involves coordinating the total regimen of care, from admitting new residents and greeting them to managing complex discharge plans and post-mortem procedures. You will lead by example, performing professional nursing services such as catheterization, tube feedings, and wound care, while ensuring that all licensed and unlicensed personnel adhere to established safety and sanitation regulations.
