About the Role

This position serves as a pivotal leadership role within our long-term care facility, dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of quality nursing care for our residents. The primary purpose of this role is to provide direct nursing care while supervising the day-to-day activities of nursing assistants. You will act as the bridge between the Director of Nursing Services and the frontline staff, ensuring that all operations align with current federal, state, and local regulations.

Your day involves a dynamic blend of clinical oversight, administrative management, and staff development. You will lead your shift through a 3-2-1 rotation schedule, managing admissions, transfers, and discharges while coordinating with physicians, families, and inter-departmental teams. Beyond clinical duties, you are responsible for fostering a warm, calm, and positive environment that prioritizes the physical and emotional well-being of every resident. This role requires you to maintain rigorous documentation standards, manage medication safety, and ensure that all personnel are trained and compliant with facility policies.
