About the Opportunity
Join the team at Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge campus as a Registered Nurse in our Operating Room Training Cohort. This specialized 6-month program is designed to launch your career in the Operating Room, offering a structured path for nurses with 0-2 years of acute care experience or recent clinical rotations.
Starting June 29, 2026, this cohort offers limited spots for dedicated professionals ready to transition into perioperative care. The program includes a comprehensive training schedule featuring five 8-hour shifts per week, with call requirements as needed. To support your professional journey, the position includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $20,000 in student loan contributions, alongside full medical, vision, dental, and 401k match benefits for both full and part-time roles.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCoordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and the nursing process
- check_circleAdminister prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and document administration accurately
- check_circleAssist physicians during procedures within the scope of documented competency and skill level
- check_circleCollaborate with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- check_circleRespond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions such as CPR and code team activities
- check_circleProvide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
- check_circleImplement and adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of healthcare-associated infections
- check_circleMonitor and operate medical equipment including IV pumps, monitors, and ventilators as needed for patient safety
- check_circlePromote patient safety by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- check_circleParticipate in audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory standards
- check_circleEngage in professional development to maintain clinical competency and understanding of current nursing standards

Requirements
- verified0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- verifiedRN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- verifiedBCLS - Basic Life Support
- verifiedACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- verifiedPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- verifiedNRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred
Nice to Have
1+ years of ICU, ER, and/or Med/Surg experience. ACLS certification. PALS certification. NRP certification.
