We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care community. In this position, you will serve as a vital link between residents, their families, and the broader care team. Your primary mission is to provide routine daily nursing care that upholds the highest standards of quality of life, ensuring every resident receives compassionate, personalized attention in accordance with their individual care plans.
As a key member of the nursing staff, you will actively supervise the day-to-day activities of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Certified Medication Assistants (CMAs). You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act and all federal, state, and local regulations. Your role involves a dynamic mix of clinical duties, including administering medications, performing specialized procedures like catheterization and tube feedings, and managing complex care plans, all while fostering a supportive environment for our elderly and disabled residents.
Your day will be defined by direct interaction and clinical oversight. You will coordinate with nursing care and other resident services to ensure the total regimen of care is maintained, from recording vital signs to managing diet orders. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to documentation, charting communications with physicians and families, and ensuring all medical records are accurate and complete.
You will also play a critical role in quality assurance, participating in facility surveys and inspections while helping to develop and implement the nursing department's QA program. Whether you are assisting with discharge planning, responding to call lights, or conducting routine checks on care plans, your goal is to ensure the emotional and physical well-being of every resident. You will also serve as a guardian of safety, protecting residents from neglect or abuse and reporting any incidents immediately to the Director of Nursing.
Candidates selected for an interview will be expected to demonstrate their clinical knowledge and commitment to compassionate care. The process typically includes a review of credentials, followed by an interview with the nursing leadership team to assess fit within our community culture.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all residents and staff.
