Key Responsibilities
- check_circleAdminister medications safely using the five rights and ensure accurate transcription of physician orders
- check_circleAssign and delegate nursing tasks to team members based on patient needs and staff qualifications
- check_circleProvide patient and family education on treatment plans, pain management, and learning needs
- check_circleInitiate emergency measures for sudden adverse patient developments and assist with special procedures
- check_circleParticipate in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel
- check_circleDevelop and update nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- check_circleParticipate in discharge planning and coordinate with social services for post-discharge needs
- check_circleConduct patient admission assessments, reassessments, and pain evaluations to identify specific needs
- check_circleDocument patient care, assessments, and treatments completely in medical records according to nursing standards
- check_circleManage and operate medical equipment safely while maintaining a secure patient care environment
Requirements
- verifiedPostsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- verifiedRegistered Nurse (RN) – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BCLS)
- verifiedMust read, write and speak fluent English
Nice to Have
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Six (6) months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting. Experience demonstrating critical thinking, decision-making, and effective prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment.
