This position creates an environment where front-line nurses and ancillary staff provide whole-person care that is safe, complication-free, and optimizes functional independence for each patient. You will maintain a highly visible presence on the unit, collaborating closely with staff, charge nurses, physicians, and other department leaders to ensure clinical operations are efficient and effective while achieving high patient, family, and staff satisfaction.
As a leader, you will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional and supervisory discretion. Your day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling, leading, and coordinating the daily activities of a defined unit on an assigned shift, while assisting leadership in accomplishing both unit and organizational goals. You will foster a culture of open communication, set goals for patient safety and quality of care, and conduct daily rounds to coordinate appropriate care for patients and families.
