The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery serves as a vital partner to women during the transformative journey of labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and effective care to both mothers and newborns. Whether managing routine pregnancies or navigating high-risk complications, the L&D nurse acts as a skilled clinician and a steadfast advocate, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists. Your day-to-day involves monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, guiding patients through the complexities of childbirth, and supporting families with education on newborn care and postpartum recovery. From the initial admission assessment to the final moments of delivery and beyond, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, sterile, and supportive environment for every birth.
