University of New Mexico Hospital serves as the state's premier academic medical center, offering comprehensive care across a wide spectrum of specialties. Our Surgical Services Perioperative Program is a dynamic, high-acuity environment dedicated to patient safety and excellence. The program includes the CCT Operating Room, the only Level 1 trauma operating room in New Mexico, and the Pediatric Operating Room, located within the state's only children's hospital. Our culture is defined by teamwork, adaptability, and a shared commitment to transforming lives through advanced surgical care.
We are seeking passionate Registered Nurses to join our immediate hiring initiative across all Operating Rooms and Surgical Services. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fluid, educational environment where flexibility and critical thinking are essential. Whether supporting complex trauma cases in the CCT OR, providing compassionate care to infants and adolescents in the Pediatric OR, or specializing in eye surgery, you will be part of a team that prioritizes the well-being of patients and families.
For those new to the field, our 6-month Perioperative Program provides comprehensive training, including classroom didactics and on-the-job mentorship with preceptors across various specialties. Upon completion, you will have the autonomy to select your schedule and shifts. Our staff work 3x 12-hour shifts with a self-scheduling program, allowing for a balance between professional growth and personal life. We offer competitive shift differentials, sign-on bonuses, and relocation assistance to support your journey with us.
If you are interested in joining our team, please submit your application. A hiring manager will contact you within 48 hours to discuss your interests, qualifications, and potential placement within our various surgical units.
